The Tank Museum

During the pandemic, Tank Museum had to close it's doors to the public, and as a result of not being able to sell tickets, they set about revitalising and promoting their online store. Richard worked alongside Tank Museum and JD Ecommerce to design an online offering which was structured with user experience considerations that could handle a huge array of items, and allow a wide audience to find what they wanted quickly. The results were incredible, with the interest and conversion of the store helping The Tank Museum to navigate and operate until they could once again open their doors to the public.

a clear aim
The site’s military-inspired colour palette of deep greens and neutrals, paired with high-resolution images of tanks and related merchandise, immediately immerses visitors in the world of military history and tank enthusiasts. By integrating historical imagery and detailed product descriptions, the branding not only appeals to history buffs and collectors but also fosters a sense of authenticity and passion for preserving military heritage.

The user-friendly design and clear calls to action enhance the shopping experience, encouraging visitors to explore and make purchases easily. The clean and structured layout, combined with bold, utilitarian fonts, reinforces a sense of professionalism and authority, aligning with the museum's reputation.
“Richard worked with us to deliver designs for our main website and for our online shop. He brought a fresh and visually interesting approach to both projects whilst working within our strict requirements. These engaging designs have undoubtedly been a key reason for the success we have enjoyed online.”
